Parents have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of their student’s classroom teachers, including:
· Whether the teacher has met Ohio teacher licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction
· Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or temporary status that waives state licensing requirements
· The college degree major of the teacher and any other graduate degrees or certification
· Whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals (sometimes called teachers’ aides) and their qualifications
