It was a perfect day for the annual "Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs" trip to Indian Lake and the fish were biting!
The ILES fourth graders joined members of the ILHS SADD Chapter to learn a new skill! ILES Guidance Counselor Jill Onyema says even though fishing might not appeal to every student it demonstrates constructive ways to keep busy as an alternative to trying drugs. Several students caught multiple fish!!
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife and Indian Lake Outfitters provide materials such as current fishing rules and regulations guide, fish identification booklets and other support items. Indian Lake Outfitters and Logan County Community Outreach Centers also help sponsor the event.
