Ollie returned recently to remind ILES students to finish strong and don't clown around!
Ollie the miniature horse and his owner, Jolene Buchenroth of Hardin County, came to talk with second graders about working and learning all the way through to the end of the school year. Ollie wore his clown outfit as a fun visual message.
Jolene brought a poster board of Ollie's progress over the past few years. He's learned to pull a cart, play with new toys, make friends with different animals and even tolerate new outfits for fun.
ILES Guidance Counselor Mrs. Onyema also shared a story with the second graders called "Cooper's Mini Adventures-Never Give Up!"
The children were able to asked question about and pet Ollie before the conclusion of the event.
Ollie’s visit is again sponsored by Gathering Grounds and is part of an ongoing effort to prevent bullying at Indian Lake Elementary.
