ILES first graders showed off all the music skills they've learned this year during their recent program "Simple Songs We Know."
They were all smiles as they presented several tunes such as "Shake the Sillies Out," "Wacky Do Re Mi" and "The Taco Song." Students showed how they can march to a beat, perform simple dance moves and sing on key, even in a round!
Some students also played simple instruments including the bell sets and boom sticks. Way to go! The show was directed by ILES Music educator Pamela Mendenhall.

ILES 1st graders will present "Simple Songs We Know" on Thursday, March 26th in the ILHS Auditorium. This performance will showcase all the skills they've learned in music classes this year. The show will be led by ILES Music Educator Pamela Mendenhall.
Doors open at 6:30 pm with the show is set to start at 7. This event is free and open to the public. Donations to the IL Music Department will be accepted.
