Indian Lake Elementary School’s Summer Reading Program is extra exciting this year because Reading Is An Adventure!
Reading Gurus “Fisherwoman Frieda” and “Eartha Worm” encouraged the students to read all kinds of books this summer--especially storybooks that take you to unique and fun places.
While they were fishing, Frieda told Eartha, "Reading is like going on an adventure without even leaving your spot. You can visit faraway lands, meet dragons, explore space, or even learn how to build a super-duper worm fort!

Students got to choose two books to take home sponsored by the ILES PTO and an anonymous donor. If students fill out the reading log and bring it back to school in the fall, they get to participate in a special incentives just for them like more free books, an extra recess, candy and be entered into a drawing for awesome board games, like Candy Land!
