ILES students are taking early steps to understanding money and concepts surrounding finances with the help of volunteers from the world of banking.
A team of employees from Huntington Banks shared a fun book about personal financial literacy with first graders recently. Called "The Best Day at the Zoo," the story walks students through having an idea for a trip, saving for the outing, deciding which purchases are needed and wanted on the trip. The book also touches on some careers. But most importantly, the story stresses being satisfied the choices made along the way.
Huntington Banks recently launched a financial education initiative that teaches students of all ages the importance of a financially fit life, and what steps can be taken to grow their financial wellness potential.
