ILES Grandparents Day 2026 was a celebration of the stars and stripes as we approach our nation's 250th birthday!
Students in kindergarten through fourth grade performed songs that were either patriotic tunes or a nod to American culture. The packed house of grandmas and grandpas loved it!
After the performance, family members had a chance to visit classrooms and check out spring projects that students have been working on for the last few weeks of school. Special thanks to all the grandparents who were able to accompany their students and to Mrs. Notestine, Mrs. Mendenhall and the entire ILES staff for all their hard work on the program!
The ILES Grandparents Day will be Friday, May 15th beginning at 9 am in the ILES Gym. Grandparents will be treated to a special music program. Then they will have the opportunity to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and shop the Book Fair. Students are permitted to sign out and leave with grandparents on Friday, after the program.
Reminder!! The program on Friday is for grandparents ONLY because seating is limited. However, parents may attend the practice on Thursday, May 14th at 1 pm.
