ILES Grandparents Day 2023

ILES Grandparents Day 2023 was a celebration of our country and the love we have for our families. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade performed patriotic songs including "Fifty Nifty United States," "I'm Proud to be an American, " "Red River Valley" on the recorders and many more to a packed house of grandmas and grandpas. After the performance, family members had a chance to visit classrooms and check out special projects that students have been working on for the last few weeks of school. Special thanks to all the grandparents who were able to accompany their students today and to Mrs. Notestine, Mrs. Mendenhall and the entire ILES staff for all their hard work on the program! The ILES Grandparents Day will be Friday, May 19th beginning at 9 am in the ILES Gym. Grandparents will be treated to a special music program. Then they will have the opportunity to visit classrooms, meet teachers, visit the Wetland project and shop the Book Fair. Students are permitted to sign out and leave with grandparents on Friday, after the program.
Reminder!! The program on Friday is for grandparents ONLY because seating is limited. However, parents may attend the practice on Thursday, May 18th at 1 pm.
