Rotary Club Books

ILES students are enjoying some new award-winning books about growing and gardening supplied by the Bellefontaine Rotary Club.

The books were delivered just in time for Pam Scarpella's third grade science students to read a story about a walking stick they had found at recess and observed throughout the week. The books include "Good Trick, Walking Stick," by Sheri Bestor, "Secrets of the Vegetable Garden," by Carron Brown, "Blue Corn Soup", by Caroline Stutson, "Sleep Tight Farm" by Eugenie Doyle, "Seed School" by Joan Holub and several others. The books are all “Growing Good Kids – Excellence in Children’s Literature Award" winners.

The book donations are part of a larger Bellefontaine Rotary Club grant project supporting gardening education in local schools.
