Third grade students are thinking about their actions in the "No Bully Zone." Earlier this year, teacher Pam Scarpella received a grant from the Logan County Education Foundation to enhance the anti-bully education in the grade level. Each Thursday they have anti-bully meetings to teach students how bullying effects others and what they can do if faced with a bully situation; Either to help another student or if they are the victim. Scarpella teaches anti-bully rules and each week they have a different video, books, and scenarios to consider where they discuss the bullying situation. In the "No Bully Zone," students will also receive, stickers, bracelets, have an activity book to complete and earn prizes through the rest of the year. Recently, the kids worked in small groups and drew cards where they discussed how to help a bully or what they can do if they are in a bully situation. Then they qrote how they could stomp out bullying. They are also doing lighting up third grade with kindness where all the kids are writing something that they have done that's been kind.
