The following is information from Mrs. Hall's One Call- Tuesday, April 28, 2020

Good afternoon parents,

I have several announcements that I’d like to share with you.

First, our Fundraiser Pick-up is still scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 from 3:30-6:30.  This will be a “drive thru” style pick up to help keep everyone as safe as possible.  Please enter the front circular drive and pull forward.  A volunteer will come to your car to ask your name and then we will deliver your products directly to your car.  Please help keep everyone safe by staying in your car.  We thank you in advance for your patience as this is the first time we have delivered in this fashion.

Second, this message is for Kindergarten parents: There will be more paper/pencil packets available for you to pick up on Monday, May 4 from 8:00 am to 8:00pm. Please drop off all completed work at this time or any other week day from 8-2.

3rd grade parents: Mrs. Wolf and Mrs. Reese have materials that you need to pick up to help with your reading assignments for the remainder of the year.  These items will be ready for pick up starting this Thursday, April 30 and continuing Friday and Monday.  The front door is open from 8-2 and will be open 8-8 on Monday, May 4.

There have been many questions about picking up items such as school supplies, spring pictures and yearbooks.  We are planning on having a pick up day at some point by the end of the school year.  We will give you more information on that plan in the coming weeks.  As of now, pictures and yearbooks have not yet been sent to us by Lifetouch.  Please stay tuned for more info.

All Parents:  We want to say a huge thank you to all of you that have been completing assignments with your children at home.  We know this isn’t an easy task, but we appreciate your support.  All past, current and future work will be due by Friday, May 15.  We will be assigning 4th quarter grades at the end of this nine weeks so it is important for students to continue to work hard.  If your child has completed little to no work during this time, it will be reflected on their grade card in some fashion.

Once again,  thank you for all that you are doing!  Please continue to stay safe and let your children know how much we truly miss them!

The following is a message from ILES Co-Principal Molly Hall. Please note, this message has information that is specific to each ILES grade level.

As many of you know, Governor DeWine has extended the school closing until May 1. Due to this, Kindergarten teachers are working on new assignments this week and will have them ready for you to pick up next Monday, April 6.   We will have them available in the entryway right inside the front elementary doors. Each kindergarten teacher will have a container with the new information for your child.  We are asking that you pick up these packets next Monday, April 6 any time from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. If this does not work for your family, items can be picked up any school day from 8:00-2:00.  There will also be a drop off box in that area for you to turn in any blizzard bag assignments, Specials Choice Boards, paperback books that were sent home or any other paper/pencil assignment. You can do this also on Monday, April 6 from 8:00am-8:00 pm or any other work day 8:00-2:00.  We do ask that if you see other families picking up or dropping items off that you be respectful and keep your distance. Feel free to also scan or take a picture of these assignments and email them to your teacher. This is perfectly acceptable.

1st Grade First graders will continue with assignments online pushed out through the teacher's messenger app.

2nd Grade Second graders will continue with assignments online pushed out through teacher messenger app or Google Classroom.

3rd & 4th Grades Third and fourth graders will continue with assignments located on Google Classroom.

Other announcements:

3rd nine week grade cards will be sent home this week as long as you are up to date with paying school fees.  Please look for these in the mail. If you need to pay school fees, our office is open each day from 8 am to 2 pm.

Our PTO fundraiser pick up has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 5 from 3:30-6:30.  We will send out more reminders as the date gets closer but please mark this on your calendar.

We also wanted to let you know that you soon will be able to give out virtual Laker Zone cards to your kids for being in the zone at home.  If they are being extra safe, being helpful around the house, or doing a really good job learning or helping others learn you can award them with a Laker Zone card.  Look for a link you can use that is posted on the IL website or use this link

Parents We want to say thank you for being so patient and helpful during this crazy time period.  As we navigate through the next four weeks, we ask for more patience. Now more than ever, we ask that you communicate with us.  If you have questions or roadblocks, please contact your child’s teacher or call the elementary office. We will do our best to help you.

Thank you again for all that you are doing! I hope that your family is safe and healthy. Please tell your children that we miss them bunches and can’t wait to see them soon.   ILES Co-Principal Molly Hall
